The process of dissecting a cadaver typically involves five first-year students standing close together for hours at a time. To maintain social distance this year, Dale Ritter, PhD, anatomy course director, and his teaching staff moved to doing prosections, where one instructor performed the dissection before the lab session. Students then filed through the anatomy lab to see the dissected area and ask questions.
