Meet Mukesh K. Jain, physician-scientist, dog lover, and the eighth dean of medicine at Brown.
Who is Mukesh K. Jain, MD? Brown President Christina H. Paxson says he’s the leader with a clear and compelling vision for scientific discovery, excellence in biomedical education, and world-class clinical care that Brown was looking for. His CV says he’s a cardiologist and physician-scientist who has spent his career aligning clinical, academic, and research missions for a major teaching hospital. His family and colleagues say he’s a generous, modest, and thoughtful consensus builder who makes everything “seem possible” whenever he’s around.
