15-month celebration of the history of medical education at Brown concludes with optimistic, ambitious vision for the future.

At Brown University, the past 15 months were marked by the celebration of the 50-year legacy and impact of medical education and research.

The Fall 2022 semester marked the 50th anniversary of the first day of classes of Brown’s “bona fide” medical education program in the modern era—and a half-century of education at what’s now called The Warren Alpert Medical School.

During more than a year of celebratory, reflective, and scholarly activities, 50 Years of Medicine at Brown brought together members of the Medical School community from throughout its history to honor the distinctive and innovative elements of Brown’s approach to medical training, research, and biomedical innovation, and to engage in efforts to build upon its achievements.

This video captures highlights from the 50 Years of Medicine events as Brown’s medical community celebrated the past, commemorated milestones and kicked off plans for future success.
